a rocky beach.
The beach is at McLain State Park in Michigan, and
the lake is Lake Superior. Kids there tend to spend more time on the
beach than in the water because it's so cold. |

This is Melanie Corpe (age 11) reading a book
at the Lisbon Public Library in November, 2000. I took the picture at
dusk.
